NOS TBI plate and 1" spacer question!

Hello! I have a question about nitrous delivery on a TBI camaro.I just bought an NOS nitrous kit for TBI cars with the plate and spray bar design. I would like to know if installing the nitrous plate on top of a one inch spacer will perform different than it would if it was installed on the manifold itself. I have machined the center of the spacer and made each bore meet the other at a sharp angle/point so that the bores can draw air and fuel from each other. What effect do you think this will have when using nitrous???? Would machining the bores into each other all the way like the nitrous plate work better? I just thought that the bores meeting each other at a fulcrum like angle would help maintain velocity far better than the spacer bores being machined to meet and make one large area with nothing but the flat area in the center of the bores on the manifold to help split the flow. I just dont want to put the spacer on the shelf if I can use it, but I am new to nitrous and for all I know using the spacer at all might be a bad way to go. Thanks in advance guys

I thought the spacer itself would have problems clearing the hood, but even with the spacer and a taller air cleaner lid I got from a TBI truck there is tons of room left under the hood. As for the TBI bolts not being long enough, I can get longer ones. I am just a hardass and want to find out if there is "ANY" reason I cant use both of the spacers at the same time. If it turns out that using both spacers would complicate anything I will take it off and feel good knowing that there was a reason why its gathering dust on the shelf. If I find out that with or without the spacer nothing will be gained or lost I will leave it on. What I am really trying to find out is if anyone thinks it might help or harm the nitrous performance in any way. I would love any opinions or ideas on the subject just to get some insight from veteran gas heads. When NOS designed the plate it was intended to spray nitrous and fuel into two divided bores with no space for the mixture to be drawn into other areas were it is needed. Would adding more plenum volume as well as allowing the flow path to cross over to the opposite bore cause any mixing problems or might it help by allowing an equal amount to be drawn into all cylinders when needed?

I think the 1" plate will do what it does on an NA engine, absolutely nothing. The nitrous and fuel almost instantly atomize and mix with this setup because the nitrous sprays down over the fuel. If you want perfect mixing and distribution go with a fogger. It's up to you what you want to do but I wouldn't bother putting any more thought into this and just go forward with the project. It's a simple kit that is meant to get you spraying in a couple of days, not give you a fine tuned setup (not that the spacer would make a difference).

So in short, I can use my 1" notched spacer and my nos plate and it will neither help nor harm anything?
You say the spacer does nothing at all on a NA car? I myself have not gone to the dyno to see if it adds power, have you?? I just ask because I would like to know why you say it does nothing at all and yet many company's sell tons of spacers for all types of cars.

I wouldn't use the spacer. The NOS TBI plate will not only spray nitrous and fuel, but it will act as a siamesed spacer in itself as well. You may run into throttle and or tv cable problems also with the 1" spacer and nitrous plate. BTW, what jetting are you using for the 150 shot in your sig?
