Dry N2o questions

I have a dry zex nitrous kit

I have run with a 75hp shot and found that the odd run it will not run right. It will "puke" (the motor loses power), then the fuel pressure will spike up. I am not sure if the pressure goes up 1st or the car runs like crap then the fuel pres. spikes.

Do anyone think that my injectors are static locking?

The only thing I did differntly from last year(when it was working right) was I put on 1.6 roller rockers.

My best run with the 75hp shot is 8.66@78(1/8th)
My best run with the 50hp shot is 8.71@80(1/8th)

Oh, btw, the motor doesn't puke with the 50hp shot?

I am running 15 degrees timing and 45psi fuel pressure.

Any thoughts??

Another reason why I don't like dry shots.

I would suspect the injectors, but it'll be hard to check them w/o some type of scan tool where you can see the duty cycle. Might want to try checking vacuum lines, elec. connections, and fuel filter first. How do the plugs look? Do you have a better explination of what the car does when it 'pukes' as you call it?

When the car pukes, it still accelerates but isn't full out.
You can see the front of the car come down when it pukes

It's like a car driving then rapidly pulling the choke on.

You’re not going to see the injectors locking on a scan tool… the tool will report what the ecm tells the injectors to do, but if they’re stuck open or closed the ECM won’t know.

That being said, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the injectors are locking with the pressure spike of a dry kit, or if you’re getting too much fuel causing the engine to bog down some but there isn’t really a good way of finding out without either WBO2, just swapping injectors and trying it or some educated guessing by someone that has seen it before.

Plugs would give you a good impression of what the problem is, but you would have to shut down _right_ after it does it and pull a plug right there to get an accurate reading, even driving a sort distance to get someplace comfortable will mess up what you see on the plugs.
