Does anyone know of a good supercharger kit that's suitable for my 305 TPI (LB9) 87 IROC?? All the ones I see advertised are for 88-92 models. I don't know why they wouldn't work though.
The engine is completley stock with 81000 miles on it.
Also, what sort of hp gains will I get?
Thanks for the help

Rob,
Your car has the v-belt system on it, Paxton is the only one that makes a kit for the v-belt car...but you can change your car over to serpentine belt system and intall a Vortech kit or a ATI procharger kit...
Don't waste your money on the underdrive pulleys or the K&N's if you plan on installing a SC...the pulley's will throw off the belt alignment and all the kit's come with filter's
Hope this sheds alittle light for ya...

The ones for the 88-92 are designed for speed density TPI engines. 85-87 TPI engines are mass air flow setups.Originally posted by RMK:

Not entirely correct. Here is the correct breakdown:Originally posted by Z28Maniac:

85-87: V-belt with MAF
88-89: Serpentine with MAF
90-92: Serpentine with speed density
