turbo charger vs. super charger

i want to know which is bettter for a 305 and which costs less and how much it would be to have put on a v8 305 stock 1985 irocz engin

there isn't one that would be better than the others just based on putting it on a 305.
A "supercharger" could be a roots blower or a Paxton ball driven centrifigal, or a Procharger gear driven centrifigal, a scewcharger, or others. they are all different and all have their pros & cons. They all have different pricing. All of the previous are belt driven. Turbo systems are also superchargers. They are exhaust driven turbine superchargers. They tend to be a little more complicated to install do to the exhaust plumbing involved. They are usually more expensive as well.
Both, belt driven superchargers and exhaust driven turbochargers work very well and are available in many configurations and sizes. Pricing would deppend on this and on who was doing the work.
