Supercharging and MAT Relocation
Hmmm... Should I relocate the MAT sensor? If so, where to? Should it be:
1) Near the air filter on the intake side of the blower,
2) After the blower but before the intercooler,
3) After the intercooler but before the throttle body, or
4) Leave it in its stock location in the plenum?
It makes sense that you wouldn't want it placed at #2, after the blower but before the intercooler because that's the hottest location.
Any thoughts on this one?

I think that i will go for door number 4, Bob. no mater what the blower does to the air or the IC the air you want the ecm to know what the air looks like when it gets into the motor. I bet that in any case, if you are making a significant change to the setup, it is going to change enought parameters that you are going to have to retun the car to get it back up to the level of performance that it was before you played with it. if we go from that perpective, no matter where you put it, you are going to have to tune it & you are going to tune around the location of the sensor. I just think that it will take less tuning to leave it where it is & go from there.

Willie, I have recently looked inside the ARAP hac regarding the MAT and it appears the MAT has no effect on the ecm except for the "enabling temp" of the EGR!!!
I don't have a MAF car, so I cannot confirm this with testing, but by the code, it appears that relocating your MAT would have no difference as far as performance is concerned.
But if DOES (I am still looking just in case it is buried somewhere), I would say #3 is the more accurate reading. Problem you have to consider is "sealing" while under boost.
