what to buy

I just picked up a 1986 Camaro Z28 with the 305 in it.
I am getting a bonus from work here soon for about $250.00-$300.00.

I would love to get something for the car, preferably something to help it to go faster.

What should I be looking for.

The engine is stock.
Not looking for Nitrous at this point.

Any Ideas?

If you have $300 and you're not looking to use nitrous, then you're posting in the wrong forum. This one is for nitrous/supercharger/turbocharger discussion.

Carbed.
This area is labbelled POWER ADDER. I was looking for suggestions of power adders.
Where should this be placed?

Yeah, I keep saying they should rename it, because people who aren't in the know don't realize that "power adder" usually means forced induction and nitrous, not just anything that adds power, hence the description below the forum title. A simple "Forced Induction" would suffice, as nitrous is also a form of forced induction along with turbos and superchargers.

Before posting it anywhere, do some extensive searching. Your question has been answered many, many times before. To start, search for "cheap mods" or the like. If you still have specific questions, Tech/General Engine would be more appropriate.

Simple answer: A catback exhaust would be a good place to start.
