Car: 1986 Saleen mustang.
Engine: Turbo 5.0.
Transmission: T5.
Axle/Gears: 3.55
Need 220RWHP
Hey guys I think I found my third gen and need a little help.
Going to be racing NASAs CMC series.
Basicly stock motors with bolt on suspension/cage/toyos etc.
Now the rules call for stock motors but you can upgrade to better factory parts.
Car. Looks like a 91 5spd 305 TBI car is comign home with me.
I need roughly 220RWHP and as close to 300RWTQ as possible.
Has anyone got even close to these #s on a TBI car with the stock H/C/I and TBI.
Allowed mods would be. Airfilter, any kind of exhaust after the factory mainifolds, removal of smog etc and playing with the timing.
My other options would be.
TPI swap or the spec Edelbrock intake/cam and a holley carb.
Ideas?
