NOS & manual Transmissions
Here alot of bad things about using/combining nitrous with a manual trans equiped car. Any feed back on proper set up for street/strip racing? Launch techniques using nitrous, setup of progressive controllers etc.

progressive controller just controls how much nitrous flow you get % wise at certain times then ups it so you keep traction and dont lose it. for a manual you want a window switch which will turn the nitrous on at a certain rpm and off at another rpm which should be right before your shift point. manufactures recommend activating nitrous at 3k rpms and above.

There's no issue if you can drive, alot of my friends are running nitrous on there 5 speed cars. A window switch or WOT switch is good insurance in the event of a missed shift, but i prefer the old handheld switch method. A B&M sidewinder shifter is a nice setup, but you could always just run some wires to a switch and hold it in your left hand. This way if you miss a gear you're not spraying unless you just really mess up. My moto for nitrous that's worked time and time again is to spray as soon as traction permits. I spray my car almots immediatly off the foot brake and the motor is at maybe 2200rpm. Get the tune right and make sure it's not way over rich and you'll be fine spraying.
