Need Some Supercharger/Mods Advice

Hi fellas, I am new to this site, and new to getting into the real deal for making my 92 camaro a street rocket. A little background... I have a 92 Camaro RS that I bought when I was a sophomore in high school. I am now 25 and have some money to play with. Currently the only real mod that I have done is to replace the TBI with a TPI off of an Iroc. This left me with a 5 speed manual, 305 cu in fuel injected smallblock. Well, it is time for a change. I recently bought a 1972 GM 400 smallblock(4-bolt main) that has never been machined. I am looking to send it to Lingenfelter Engineering to prep the block, strapping on a set of Brodix or AFR heads, using my current TPI if possible, and adding a supercharger. This is where I need suggestions. The 400 block is a done deal, but nothing else has been purchased yet. I have heard good things about Brodix and AFR, and I have no clue on which is the best S-charger out there for my setup. I could use all the suggestions that you guys have so lets hear em. Thanks and hopefully I can return some favors on down the road.

welcome to the TGO boards

id go with the AFRs if you can. i think some AFR 210s with mild portwork would be more than plenty for what youre looking to do. that being said, id back it up with a roller valvetrain and a nice comp cam (maybe a 282h?) do your homework on that one because im not sure. but for the blower id def go with an ATI, i hope to blow my iroc one day and the ATIs seem to have the best kits for our cars out there....

also, ditch your T-5 tranny, a 400 will snap it like a toothpick long before you ever put your blower on there. a T-56 w/ a decent clutch and nice shifter would live quite happily behind that motor.

stock driveshaft may hold out for a little while at least

definitely a 12 bolt rear, unless you like making gear teeth cassorole every night with your 10 bolt. back it up with some 3.73s (or even 4.11s with that .5 OD 6th gear!) and a detroit locker and youd be set!

Oops, forgot about the rear end. I got a Moser Built Ford 9" , 31 spline, modified to fit my rear end width. Right now it has 4.56 gears in it, but soon it will have 3.89 gears. It should do the trick. Thanks for all of the tips, I am sure I will have a lot more to come!!
