with or without pistons?

Ok quick question, I have an LT1 with a stock bottom end, LE3 heads and was wondering how much boost I could make with the stock pistons and bottom end? I dont know the compression ration but the LE's are just stock ported castings so im figuring around 10:1??

My goal is 550rwhp. Im making close to 400 now and plan on adding a T67 and a custom cam with 42 or 50lb injectors and an air to air intercooler, but I really wouild like to know if I have to comepletly break down this engine just to put new pistons in. I would like to leave it in the car for the time being since it only has about 6000 miles on it. Another reason for wanting it to stay in the car is because we all know what happens when you start taking things apart! the whole "well while im in here" metality takes over and ill end up with a new block, crank, rods and pistons.

not much, 7psi intercooled i'd say, and thats pushing it.

if you break it down and put some 9:1 forged slugs you would be able to run a considerable amount more boost, 8.5 would be even better. i think you'd be up at least 75hp, probably more.

i think a t67 is a little small, go with like an mpt70 or 74. master powers are almost half the price and still very reliable.
