The kit is adjustable from 100-250hp. The quality is impressive.
I thought I'd share.

Whats the part number for the kit? How much did it come in at and what extras did you get? I'm toying with the idea of nitrous this year and put the supercharger off until next year.
Looks like a nice install.

It is a very nice kit. The p/n is 20118-10. It was around $660.00.
It comes with:
1. life time warranty on the solenoids(big ones)
2. 100-150-200-250 jets
3. 1 nozzle
4. WOT switch for throttle linkage.
5. 1 relay for solenoids
6. a 10lb bottle
7. misc installation hardware (nuts, bolts, wire, crimps)
There are cheaper kits but NX ratings are at the wheels. I am very happy with the quality.

yes, NX is rated at the wheels, but that can very easily be compensated in other kits by just using the same size jets as NX recommends in thier kits..the solenoids are carbon fiber and billet, and the nozzle can flow more nitrous/fuel than a standard one (pirahna or shark) that also jacks the price up. Set up looks good on that motor. any reason you didnt go with a plate kit?
There really was only 1 reason I didn't use a plate set up. I dont have any hood clearance left with the HSR. As I move the throttlebody forward my hood clearance is less. I was afraid it would damage the hood under heavy load. Maybe someday I will run a taller hood but I like the sleeper look. Not many think a stock 89 Vette is fast. So it gives me a slight advantage.

Nice!...I like that kit..I have an NX kit too except I have the standard kit with all the the extra stuff and I spent over $1000 for all of it about 2 years ago
where did you get that double fitting on the fuel rail ..the one the fuel hose connects to..I like that too.

Thanks Wishmaster! I wanted to be able to use my fuel pressure gauge when adjusting my regulator. I went to the local auto parts/ hydraulic fittings store and bought a brass 1/8" NPT "T" fitting. Then I threaded a small 1/8" NPT pipe into the bottom of it and threaded it into the fuel rail. I probably could have threaded the shrader valve into the spare port on the fuel solenoid but I didn't want to add any stress to it everytime I thread the gauge on.

no everything is seperate before u know it ure over 1200 into it i been running that kit on my car for a about 2 years i recieved the one of the first kits test mule pretty much dave from nitrous outlet runs the same on his ss change the nozzle on it and u can go up 2 and capable of a 400 shot on a single stage i have it on a tpi 350 so far been 11.68 on a 150 jetting with the fjo progressive have fun spraying i lost count how many bottle i been through but im sure im over 50 10lbs bottle
I am running a Walbro 255 pump with 24# Ford Motor Sport injectors. Fuel pressure is around 50 psi.

wow what heads/cam are you running? im going to a 255 fuel pump and 30lbs fms injectors for my combo....no shots of crack or s/c
I am running Trick Flow 195's with Comp Cam 276 hyd roller.
----------
Its the same cam that you have. I didn't want to go too big but now I'm contemplating a much larger one. The XR276 is very streetable for the 383.

i am thinking about upgrading my cam as well but like you said my cam is very streetable. the firebird has gone from 3 times a week driver to weekend warrior to parhaps once a month warrior because of gas prices. if i do decide on once a month then i will most likely go with a bigger cam. no complaints about this cam though.just curious.....what did you dyno without the nitrous? i am getting very anxious bc im still waiting for injectors and fuel pump and then re dyno tuning...im dying to know lol

Get a bike for the daily driver. My last fill-up yielded 70 MPG (72 MPG average). The initial cost will pay off in the long run. That means more money for the car to make it go faster.Originally Posted by 89formula350b2l

My base run was 317rwhp/328 rwtq. It was very lean. This is what it was when I ran 12.16@112.
I tuned it for 2.5 hours and ended with 341 rwhp / 353 rwtq. The fuel curve is still not optimal but its much better. I havent been to the track yet.

best i could come up with (with stock injectors and stock fuel pump) was 311 rwhp at 4500ish rpms and 350 rwtq. that is an impressive time with those numbers, but then again you're a corvette so you're lighter than me.....

I'm so tempted to get this kit. It's just the thought of something going wrong and having to rebuild or replace the engine which is making me think twice. That and the faxt that I'm also thinking of a Procharger...
I think you would have more of a chance of blowing it up with the procharger than with this kit. They both require the same type of precautions though. Both are alot of fun but N2O is alot cheaper!

i'm in the same boat as rmk but i dont know **** about nitrous so i think i might have to do ALOT of reading before trying this out...especially with the new motor (less than 600 miles on it)
