383 Supercharge or Nitrious???

Well as most of you have heard I've got a busted crankshaft...and well I was wondering if you guys could tell me if supercharging my 383 motor would be worth it or if I should just keep it the way I have it now and hit it with nitrious(I built it for nitrous the first time around). If I did go supercharged i know I would have to put in low compression pistions and I can't afford the supercharger right off the bat so I don't know if it would be a real dog if it only had like a 8 to 1 compression ratio? because I want to still be pretty quick but I want to have it be a complete animal when I hit it with either boost or nitrous. What do you guys think I should do?

Do you have the nitrous stuff lying around? Could always build it up for the blower, but hit it with the spray till you had the blower. Be careful with cranks when you do a blower though, be sure you get a good one. If your parts are good for the nitrous stuff besides the crank (pistons etc) I"d just leave it as it is, unless you're tired of filling the bottle up.
