Extreme Velocity Hat

Are they worth the expense vs performance gained over what is typically supplied with Procharger, Vortech, Wynjammer, etc?

I recently installed a Wynjammer on my stock 92 454SS and it knocked a second off of my ET.

Looks like you guys could easily adapt this to 3rd gens.

Re: Extreme Velocity Hat

most likely for the power levels you'll be looking at, the $69.99 spectre one from pep boys will work just fine, couple guys on theturboforums.com swear by them and they also tested a/f ratios and they were unchanged between the two. save yourself the money.

Cool; have a pic or a link? Plastic or aluminum?

I have a YS trim that I will eventually be installing on my other truck. I may get the Extreme Velocity hat for that.

What's the best method of sealing the hat to the TB?

Thanks

Re: Extreme Velocity Hat

I use it with the 1" spacer. From my expierence, much better than stock ATI set up. The stock one only seemed good to about 6 psi. ATI does offer there " tall boy" which is better than the base one. Plus, the EV hat has an o-ring to help seal.

Yeah, I grabbed one at PepBoys. Looks like I'll need a spacer.

Thanks!

Re: Extreme Velocity Hat

yeah, most run the 1" spacer, even with the EV or EV PRO hats.
