Powdercoated rods
POWDERCOATED RODS with a D-1 procharger putting 10lbs of boost, How much hp can those rods hold? I'm trying for 500 to 550 to the ground with a stock Ram Jet. I ran out of cam at 5k so I'm planning on putting a cam in it, So what you think of those rods.

Re: Powdercoated rods
wont last for long at those power levels. and its powdered metal rods, not powdercoated. Lt1 guys have same type rods and they kill out much over 450whp.

Re: Powdercoated rods
Friend of mine runs stock powder metal rods in his LT1 spinning 7600 rpm... Think he said he's never had one fail yet. His car runs 11.00's and has run high 10's with the weight out. Mind you though, his engines are gone over with a fine tooth comb and are not like your average rebuilds.
