NOS Sniper Kits

Looking at this kit from summit

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Question is, would a stock TPI 305 w/ 107,000 miles be able to hold up to the 125 hp shot? Would it handle 150 if i decided to change the jets later?

A little info about my car. It has the 230hp/300tq TPI 305, dynaflow or magnaflow catback (can't remember right now lol), K&N Filter, some kind of aftermarket chip (was in it when i bought the car), coolant passage on throttle body is bypassed, smog pump and all lines have been removed, T5 with 3.45 posi 9 bolt, and a pretty good set of street tires. Has SFCs and a strut tower brace if it matters.

What should my car do in the 1/4 with that kit?

It should shave a full second of your time, depending on when you're gonna spray it.

What tires are you going to use?

Hows the compression on your motor?

There isnt a 150 shot jet combo for a nozzle set up, & anything that high up on the jetting doesnt make it all the way to the back cylinders.

Re: NOS Sniper Kits

I have Federal SS595 and I'm new to nitrous, when would be the best time to spray? I know i shouldn't spray right off the line since i am running a T5 and a 9 bolt and i wouldn't get any traction. I was thinking as soon as i shift to 2nd and when i shift to 3rd also

Also my base timing is 6* should i take a little out when i feel like playing with nitrous

Re: NOS Sniper Kits

I spray right off the line! Theres not enough time & too much to do after the light comes down.

Any motor will take 100+ shot & still hold up, remember to retard timing 2 degrees for every 50 hp.

Re: NOS Sniper Kits

BTW, the Sniper kit is a good, but very basic kit. The solenoids are smaller than normal, & you will need a purge solenoid kit, bottle heater, & blow off tube to vent outside of the vehicle. Plan on spending a grand to do it right.
