fuel consumption with a 150shot
im looking at putting a seperate fuel pump and fuel cell in for my kit. how much fuel on average (for the kit)is consumed during a 1/4 mi run with a 150-175 shot.

Without knowing the first thing about your set-up I'd have stick to a very general answer in that pretty much any fuel pump that would power a 150 hp engine should handle it.
My preference is to run a separate dedicated fuel system like you say and to run carter electric pumps.
A lot of people get fancy with the $1000+ pumps and return style systems, but I've never had to. I just test the system to see what pressure it will consistently hold during use and then jet the N2O system around that.
Even the smaller Carter electric pump will support a carbureted NA engine to 500 HP @ 11:1 AFR. That's a lot of overkill for a typical N2O system.

Re: fuel consumption with a 150shot
thanks for the info. what your descibing is pretty much what im trying to do.
im looking now at the jegs 1 gallon cell, andI want to mount it where the battery used to be.
But what i really want to know is how much fuel do you use in 1 run? on the seperate fuel cell. 1gal, 1/2gallon.qt,?
how much fuel do you splash into your cell before each pass?

You wont use the 1 gallon up in a single pass, maybe a quart.

Re: fuel consumption with a 150shot
After a low 10 second pass it's still over half full.
I was surprised the first time I noticed how little was used.
Racing gasoline is more dense than pump gas so it requires less volume to get the same AFR.
I'm normally only adding between 100 and 200 hp with the N2O so about the same range you mentioned.
