Hi all,

I am doing a single turbo on a tpi engine.. i'm wondering if i would see any benifit going with a less complicated setup like a tpis mini-ram intake or stealth ram. there are 6 gaskets between the runners, plenum and intake on a tpi setup, none on a mini ram and two on a stealth ram.

my l98 is basically stock, so it would be stock heads and cam to start out. I'm only going to run between 6-8lbs of boost to start, but i'm kind of questioning how much trouble i'm going to run into trying to make sure my tpi setup will maintain a good seal under boost. stealth is 550 new, i can score a used miniram setup for about 650 and i already have an edelbrock runner/intake combo that i have done some porting on. which would best fit my application?

thanks all

Re: quick tpi manifold turbo question
You won't see any problems with leaks. There are stock intake tpi turbo setups out there running 9's. A friend of mine has a 20 psi turbo tpi setup that works fantastic.

The only downside that comes to mind is the effort involved in getting to the injectors, which I get to do this week on mine.

Leaks are no problem. I've run 18lbs through mine without any issues. 20 inches of idle vacuum is, I believe like 10lbs of out sideair trying top get in. TPI & turbos rock! Mark
