header runners size vs horsepower handling and restriction

Hey i have a set of summit racing 1 1/2 shorty style headers with a 2.5 y pipe on my car now but i am starting piecing together my own turbo kit and i will go with a single mp t-70 .96 turbo. My question is if i modify my headers kind of like BBSDesign with the 1 1/2 runners would that be too restrictive for 450-500whp?? This is not a large cubic inch motor its just a 350 with aluminum heads

Not at all... I think you'll be surprised how much power a setup like that would support. I'm expecting 500 crank hp from my log setup using a stock manifold on the driver side.

Sounds like a great project.. please keep us posted on your project!
