Stock intank gas tanks have filter after fuel pump. But the pickup also has a filter bag.
If your nitrous fuel tank is clean, then no worries about getting particles into the fuel system. Wont damage the pump. Maybe it depends on the type of pump, wether it likes to push or pull full but most pumps PUSH so filter after would make sense, before the regulator.

i run an external pump i have a 40 micron filter before and a 5 or 10 micron before my injectors def don't want anything sticking the sol. open
