Hey I have an 87 Iroc with a 305 and was planning on upping the air intake when I found a GTE Electric Supercharger. They said it makes at least 5 psi and it hooks up to the front of cold air intake tubing. It was only 200 dollars and said it might add 20-60 hp. I'm not sure that I believe that it works as well as they say but, I felt like I should ask before writing it off or buying it and wasting 200 dollars.

Thanks for your replys,
Alex

Their video show it knocking over a piece of wood and rolling some plastic out of the way... the guys at Hot Rod magazine tied up 2 gas powered blowers to their vette and didn't even get 60 HP.... save your $$$$....

IIRC, there's a group of English & German engineers in Europe right now working on developing an electric supercharger for the next generation 1.8L TDI engine that's going to be Tier IV certified & in compliance with both EU & American diesel specs. Beyond that I haven't seen or heard much.

Its meant to help with city fuel economy where Turbo's tend not to spool up enough to help.
