stock 1985 tpi fuel pump question
hello everyone. can someone answer how much power a stock 305 tpi fuel pump can handle? my engine is a 425-450 hp 406 with a holley 750 dp (if that matters) i plan maybe adding a 100-125 shot of nitrous in the future and just want to see if the stocker can handle it, if not i already have a mech. fuel pump from holley thats rated at 110gph. thanks for your time

Re: stock 1985 tpi fuel pump question
On my 5.7 tpi, at 9 psi I was running near 100% duty cycle with 65 lb/hr injectors using the stock pump. 9 psi on a stock psi is around 350 crank hp. I've read of people at 400 hp with stock pumps. Of course you will be stepping down to a lower fuel pressure and it becomes a question of volume. I don't think I'd risk it though, but if you do, let us know what happens
Sounds like it will be a fun car!
