Fuel system question

Have a 350 with RHS cylinder heads, 515 intake 530 exhaust cam, HSR with professional products fuel rails, boost reference fuel regulator, EBL ecm, Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump, 60 lb siemens deka injectors, LC-1 wideband. With a P1SC, was wondering if I really need the FMU and boost a pump as I really wont see above 5000 rpm or 10 lb boost. Or should I just datalog as I go keeping a eye on the AFRs and injector duty cycle and fuel pressure......

Re: Fuel system question

I would use a vacuum-referenced fuel pressure regulator, no FMU necessary.

The EBL's BPC vs Boost/MAP tables make this the most straight forward approach possible.

Re: Fuel system question

Yep if EBL has boost based map tables, then use them! Skip the FMU.

Boost a pump likely wont be necessary, but you could do the hot wire kit, with the pump harness tied into the alternator output for an exta 1 volt of power.
That should be good to 550 maybe 600whp and your setup shouldnt be much over 500 depending on what cam/heads you have.

Re: Fuel system question

That's what I was thinking too. The regulator is vacuum referenced with a 1 to 1 boost reference also. Figured it is less to setup and less is usually better when it comes to the number of pieces used.
