single turbo stock 350 carb'd questions
Okay just as the title says Id like to do a single turbo set up on a stock 350 engine, fabrication is not an issue as I have the tools and the time. I want to try this out and see if I want to go any further with it on my other engines. starting small that way if I mess up im not out a ton of money dont need a steep learning curve lol.
LS9 165 horse 350 stock 4 bolt 8.5 compression
I have an idea of the turbo I need but not sure. im not going to spin the motor past 5500 and dont want more than 8 psi at any point.
the turbo I was thinking of is
T70 compressor .70 a/r turbine .84 a/r
would this be too small or possibly too big? any other turbo you would recomend?

Re: single turbo stock 350 carb'd questions
For what you want to do it should work well enough.I'd probably go with a Q trim turbine and a .96 if you have the option available to you, then cam up a bit with something like a $100 summit kit. The S400 75mm would work too but I'd definitely be looking at more cam to make it work right. They used a hell of a lot smaller turbos than a T70 in the Accell kits back in the 70s so you could afford to make it a bit more powerful than stock.

yeah know I can get the turbo I listed pretty cheap Ill look in to the others and see what the prices are going to be. dont think im going to go over .450/.460 lift range that way I dont have to buy new springs.
