Weiand 142/144 roots blower with goodmark cowl
Is anyone using a weiand roots blower (142 or 144) with a goodmark cowl hood? Looking at this combo for the future, and I'm wondering if it fits under the 2" hood. I like the looks of the 2" better, but I could go for the 4" if it is needed.

If I could only remember his name....
Someone here has a 142. He's mentioned many times there is no way he could have made everything fit under a 2 inch cowl. He HAD to buy a 4 inch. Also, you may not be able to use the Goodmark hood - the bracing may be in the way. That is unless the 4 inch Goodmark does not have bracing.
Obviously I have no 1st hand experience; just reporting what I've read.

Well, I don't have a 144 either but I can almost guarantee you'll need a 4" cowl to clear. I know Damon runs a 144, but his is on a Malibu I think. Never heard of an issue with hood braces... Not saying it's not true.
I have a steel off-brand hood and I had to trim the hole for the air cleaner because it was in the center...if you look closely, all air cleaners (and engines) are slightly off to the passenger side...
