carb/turbo

I have a 91 Firebird with a 377 SBC it has a Q jet and I am looking at installing a Garrett T61 turbo my question is how well will this combo to together

It will work fine with the right converter, just be sure to use a set screw w/the Q-Jet...

What heads/cam? A T61 on a 377 seems a bit smallish to me. Besides that, you would have to pressurize the throttle shafts on the qjet and get a marine accelerator pump in order to keep boost/fuel mix from leaking out. http://www.wallaceracing.com/TFProjectUpdate1b.html This should help out some. The other thing is I think I'd be concerned about the needle seats not allowing enough fuel depending on the heads/cam of the 377. Ultimately it may be best to start looking for a 650 DP or something along those lines if you want to boost. Just saying.
