Running 700 hp with a 600 carb....
Two years ago is the last I ran my car. My Barry Grant blowthrough carb had a stripped squirter screw so I threw on my 600 from the original 305 that I boosted. I got a kit to sleeve the squirter hole but failed due to a bent head on my uncles drill press. Irritating and completely my fault. I was about ready to sell the whole setup and go nitrous to just get a few fast runs before the motor goes in a mud truck and a 6.0 takes its place.
But then I was going over my times and I ran 10.7@127 with that little carb with tuning still far from perfect, faulty ignition box, and no meth injection. I'm wondering if I could get low 10s out of it......seems silly with such a small carb, but I only spin to 6300 rpms.
What do you guys think? How much do you think its holding me back?
383, vortech s-trim, rpm intake, 200cc heads, xr288hr

60 was 1.631. No pics. Last one I took was four years ago.

Keep in mind that with a blow through, the CFM capacity goes up with boost (as opposed to a suck through). So if you are running 7.5 psi boost, your carb has about 900cfm capacity for example.
Supercharged cars can pick up a lot of power with A/F tuning - don't be surprised if you pick up 50hp from that alone. Add in the gain from meth injection and you can probably see another 80 to 100hp if everything is right. 127mph in a 3500lb car is about 550 to 560hp, so adding 90hp to that should add another 6 or 7mph to your trap speed. No reason to think you couldn't run 10.3 with that.
