Which kit?
Edelbrock carb, have a 305 but gonna switch the block for a 350. figured while I am at it, why not toss in some nitrous.
I have been looking into nitrous kits, they both look like they have the same stuff, but $200 price difference. Question, are both compatible with my carb? Also, what else do I need, because I know it's not as simple as buying this and bolting it in. If you can provide actual links to what I need, that would be awesome.
NX KIT
NOS KIT

Re: Which kit?
i dont see anywhere in the description that it comes with the intake. jegs and summit have a better deal than that. my buddy runs that kit on his nova and it was enough to trash a stock bottom end motor in 10 or 11 passes.

Re: Which kit?
Whats the engine specs, square or spread bore intake?
For stock or mild engines you wouldn't really want to spray more than 150 shot.
Both kits you linked to are ready to run basic kits. I would go with the NX kit, in fact when I get to it I plan on putting the NX stage 6 50-300 hp kit on mine.
With the hatch back style of the third gen I would want a blow down line ran out through floor (in fact, you must have the blow down tube to be NHRA legal).
Now there is a lot of things to think about and maybe add ins you may want.
The NX mainline is just a toggle arm switch and push button trigger. I like using a WOT micro switch or RPM switch to trigger the nitrous.
You need a fuel system (fuel line size, fuel pump, fuel filter, etc) that can support the engine plus the added nitrous power.
I like having a nitrous timing retard so I don't have to twist the dist. every time. I already have a mallory digital 685 spark box that has built in timing retards and rpm window switches so that's the way I would go.
