Re: Vortech TPI kit
Looks a bit dirty to be new(And the pulley is mounted), But i dont see why you couldnt get 3500 for it. I got my self contained V3 kit for 2200 new, and that needed some mods to get it to fit under a stock third gen hood.
Re: Vortech TPI kit
Its been sitting on a shelf in a shop for years with no box. As you can see it still has the blue covers as shipped form vortech on it with the serial number on the blue cover. The piping kit is also still wrapped up as it came from vortech and the brackets as well. I was thinking someone may want it for 2200.00 shipped.

That TPI bracket by itself is worth a few hundred...to the right person of course.

Re: Vortech TPI kit
Last time I bought one I paid $1500. I don't know if it being discontinued adds value.
I've seen them on the forums for sale from time to time and they usually go for around that.
The rivets holding the tag on are rusty, and it's caked in crap which tells me that it is either a used head unit, or was stored in the worst environment possible.

Re: Vortech TPI kit
Well i paid 2200 for a V3 tuner kit (thats why i said that), without the fuel pressure booster and all the piping. brackets that fit without modification, i would have bought this had it been forsale a few months ago. Im not even sure what they went for when they were new to be 100% honest with you

You have a V3, which is quite a better head unit and self contained vs the V2 posted above (isn't sold any longer), which required oil lines.
Are the fbody brackets worth more than the universal brackets? Good question. The fbody version puts the alt way low, and moves the PS pump up to the top. Some like that config. Others don't. I did not.
You can run vbelts with your bracket, which is a benefit IMO.

Re: Vortech TPI kit
A lot of people just want something that bolts on with zero fabrication, and those people are willing to pay more than people who fabricate stuff. So you very well may get what you want for it.
I had the exact same kit, and on a slightly modified (heads, cam, .030 over) car it made over 550 hp and ran 120mph in the 1/4. That should get somebody interested.

Edit:
V-2 S Supercharger Std 50000 RPM 20 PSI 1000 CFM 680 HP 72% 3.5" 2.75"
V-3 Si Supercharger Std 52000 RPM 22 PSI 1150 CFM 775 HP 78% 3.5" 2.75"
I stand corrected

Re: Vortech TPI kit
Thanks for all the input guys. All valid points. I would love to sell it. I'm tired of looking at it. I can't post it up on here as I don't have a high enough post count or been on here long enough.

[QUOTE=mr.nitrous;6063498]Hello everyone. New to the board. I was wondering what everyone would think this vortech S trim blower kit would be worth ? It is brand new, it was purchased in a parts deal that I bought. it looks to be complete. Thanks in advance.

Hi, do you still have this kit for Sale? I would be interested if you do. Please let me know either way. Thanks, Kyle.

Re: Vortech TPI kit
What lubricates the head on the V2 units? Is it self contained or does it require oil lines be plumbed into the oil pan to feed the head?

The V1's and V2's need oil lines and are feed through engine oil. Pretty sure he sold this a while ago.

I know the Prochargers get so hot you can't even touch them, but then again procharger sucks.

Not sure honestly. Mine gets surprisingly toasty. I dont think its as hot as a oil feed unit, but it does get hot.
