75hp shot on a 305TBI

if i run a wet system is it true that a 75hp isnt that hard on the motor...also is it realistic to ever use NOS on the street? how long does the shot last? what should i do before i get nos other than a better rear (plan on some 3.42 posi or 3.73 havent found a new rear yet tho) my car also has 101k miles on it but its slowly going to be replaced piece by piece...im getting a new intake soon probably a eldebrock not sure yet, new cam soon and by summer a set of WP torquer 305 heads...what you all think?

I think it would be safe to run a 75 HP shot, maybe even 100 if your motor is running like it should. You may want to start with 75 and move up as you replace parts of your motor and get it running better. Someone once told me that nitrous will last about 10 seconds for every 1 pound in the bottle, so, 10 pound bottle times 10 seconds a pound equals 100 seconds. As for the rear end it doesnt really matter what you have now but I am getting some 3.73's for my car to go with my nitrous kit. With 2.73's you could use the nitrous from the hole shot, with 3.73's you would need to wait until you can hook to give it some juice to prevent spinning.

75 hp should be no problem at all, as long as your engine and fuel system are in good condition and are working like they should.
Yes you can use NOS on the street, but remember that it is just as illegal to street race, speed, or smoke your tires on public roads with or without nitrous, nitrous just makes it easier to do. How long the bottle lasts depends on the size of shot you are running. Small shots, like 50 or 75 HP will let a bottle full last a long time, you won't be holding it on for very long. A 10-15 second hit will get you over 100mph. You usually don't have to hold in on that long to beat the other guy, 4 or 5 seconds usually will do it.

Hell hit the mother with a 125HP, 75 HP is weak unless you are driving a rice burner that only has 75 HP
