The crash and analysis
The Camaro's launch was at 00:16 and 5/8 frame (green light and launch of car).
The 60' time (rough estimate here) was at 00:18 an 0/8 frame, so that would be about a 1.4 to 1.5 seconds for the 60'.
He went across the 330' at 00:21 and 0/8 frame, so his 330' time was about 4.4 seconds.
He hit the guard rail at 00:23 and 5/8 frame which was at the 1/8 mile, so his 1/8 mile times was about 7.0 seconds.
That car was a high 10 second quarter mile car. The right lane car is a 9 second car (altered?) which makes the left lane car appear slower. Been there, done that.
FWIW, he shifted after the 330' marker at 00:21 2/8 frame and the car got loose at about 00:22 and 0/8 frame.

Got to ask the questions - Who, When, Where, and Why? Is the dude alright? (f-content - it looks like he has nitrous below the carb).

I understand that the driver is fine. Don't know about the rest.

Keep in mind that this was at Test & Tune on a Saturday at Sacramento Raceway and not a real race. You can take as much time as you want and if the other car gets off first,... no big deal. The car in the right lane is a local S/Comp altered. I think he could have come out of that a whole lot better if he had just got off the throttle when he felt the back of the car swaying. Did they check to see if the right rear tire went flat to drive the car right? I've scared myself worse and recovered. Maybe something did break or just bad luck.
