I just bought an 86 IROC Z28 with a 350 (holley/edelbrock, stock tranny and rear) that was bought from a speed shop (not a stock rebuild). I don't know too much on the cam, heads, pistons ect, but I know the guy i bought it from used it as his money maker. he told me NOS was dangerous and unless you really knew what you were doing...you can get killed. I don't want to spend the money on a stroker kit or a blower. I have no idea what HP I am running, but it has no smog pump or cat (flowmaster Y) and has headers.
If I want to add 50 HP what should I do?
I figure to research the cam specs, maybe put in a new cam. Also, I am gonna make a ram air intake to the air filter. But I lost the Hot Rod mag that had the steps on how to do it.
