Re: Glamour shot That is one good looking engine and the parts list is great! Nice looking car by the way-very understated looking and I mean that in a good way. |
Re: Glamour shot 1 Attachment(s) Thanks! But I forgot to mention it has a 4" cowl hood now too. Not as understated looking now. :( Heres a shot of the underside. |
Re: Glamour shot Uhhhh, you make me want to throw my crap in the trash... |
Re: Glamour shot Im starting on the wiring this week, I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow |
Re: Glamour shot 1 Attachment(s) just a quick picture. Wiring takes forever! |
Re: Glamour shot |
Re: Glamour shot Holley HP ECM will be here this week! |
Re: Glamour shot Build looks great so far! Let us know how you like the Holley ECM, I'm very curious how it works for you. Keep up the good work! |
Re: Glamour shot Starting on the wiring, Here's the relay and fuse box for the fans and fuel pump. http://img.fae.ro/f40d20.jpeg |
Re: Glamour shot She's running! Holley HP system is very easy to use! I'll have pictures tomorrow! I've only put 1 mile on it so far. It hasn't completely earned my trust yet. I'll just be driving around the block a couple times before I take it too far from home. |
Re: Glamour shot Glad to hear you have it running! Hopefully everything keeps going smoothly. I'm interested in that Holley ECM for my upcoming project. |
Re: Glamour shot Nice project! Keep up the good work. |
Re: Glamour shot Holley HP ECM is great. But it was expense for everything ( ECM. harnesses, O2S, Laptop) But I really think I was the right way to go. Tomorrow I have to finish the timing and put the block off plate in the passenger tip of my Borla system. It's super loud. I wish it wasn't raining out. I'd really like to drive it more. |
Re: Glamour shot 3 Attachment(s) Got Pictures |

Re: Glamour shot Thanks |
Re: Glamour shot Had the car weighed today. 3460lbs With me, full tank of gas, complete street trim, tools and spare parts in trunk. Realistically about 3200lbs empty |
Re: Glamour shot What brand cowl hood is that? Steel or glass? |
Re: Glamour shot It's a Glasstek, is fiberglass. |
Re: Glamour shot Just pulled the trigger on a set of 17x9.5 ZR1 wheels, Black center with machined lip. |
Re: Glamour shot Niiice, cant wait to see them in the car. |
Re: Glamour shot 2 Attachment(s) Rear tires and rims are here |
Re: Glamour shot 3 Attachment(s) Please ignore all the dirt |
Re: Glamour shot 3 Attachment(s) Shes still dirty. |
Re: Glamour shot Wash wax & take more pics!!!!!! Lol |
Re: Glamour shot Looks like we have pretty similar setups, think it will be ready for atco soon? Opens next week. Also your pcv system is installed wrong. Thats a fresh air port on the tb that needs a cap, plumb it to one of the fittings on the back or under the plenum on the HSR -Jim |

Re: Glamour shot Sounds awsome.....are you gonna dyno it? |
Re: Glamour shot I hope to. I'd like to see 400/425 to the wheels. Tomorrow I have an oil leak to deal with. Im 75% sure its the distributor gasket, it didnt start leaking until I R&R'd it |
Re: Glamour shot How are those Etec heads?!?!? You need a 4th gen spoiler to match your hood. |
Re: Glamour shot The heads are great! Very well priced too. |
Re: Glamour shot she sounds great |
Re: Glamour shot Thanks. The HSR is for sale. I'm gonna try a MiniRam https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/engi...t-new-hsr.html |
Re: Glamour shot Why are you getting rid of the HSR? |

Why are you getting rid of the HSR? "I've had trouble with getting it to seal my E-Tec 210 heads that are 1206 gasket size. Its stock, unported." |
Re: Glamour shot Werd, I've heard the recent HSR's had enough material to port out to 1206, the early ones need metal. Out of curiosity can you post up the casting date? It may help some others in the future. |
Re: Glamour shot Sure ill post the date when I get home. It probably has enough metal, I dont really want to deal with having to get it ported. Im gonna call TPIS and see if they'll sell a 1206 matched miniram |
Re: Glamour shot I just ordered up a TPiS MiniRam with a fuel rail kit. Ported for 1206 gaskets. Should be here sometime next week and my GM performance distributor will be here today. My MSD 8366 is for sale too. 200$ shipped, No cap or rotor |
Re: Glamour shot 3 Attachment(s) Miniram installed. Still have to clean up some wires. Gonna lose the cowl hood soon too. |
