I often wonder why we dont have a library on this site to put diagrams and instructions, schematics, detailed rebuild instructions ie. rearends trannys engines carbs tpi tbi efi. If there was a way to simplify the search by catagorizing and maybe alphabetizing or cataloging particular topics it would make life easier in a search for info.

What does everyone else think and can this be done?

If you have a bunch of stuff you'd want to contribute I'm sure Dirk would be more than happy to post your articles up provided they're technically sound. You can also post attachments to the site if you want.
I'm not sure if this is exactly what you were saying though, maybe you mean like an "We've already seen these" with links to articles where all the popular questions of the day can be posted by a mod to prevent 100 people asking "When I try to set timing the timing keeps advancing and retarding what's wrong?!?!" or something like that?

 

yeah the tech articles help out... between them, the message boards, and my manual i am good to go most of the time...

 

I love the tech articles and many members on the boards here know tons of info about our cars and can really be a lifesaver when your in a pinch and have exhausted all ideas on solving a problem.
