Few things i see

yes i knwo you knwo the site is slow, its not too bad and if it takes stress off the machinery, i'd say leave it as is, most epople dont have 3.0MB DSL like i do so they wont even notice the speed difference.

The flames, i dont have them in cache that i know of just let me check. nope....

Posting however seesm to take less time for it to upload to the server, so if you have the i/o different now, keep it this way. I used to ahve to wait like 3 seconds for a post to be accepted and what not, its faster now.

If you need any help, i emailed you before, my dad is a network engineer, and i'm MCSA, CCNA, A+, and Net+ certified. I know you know your computers but theres always more to be leanred. Dont be afraid to ask me. I do work on internet servers, yet i dont haveone out of the house since our firewall is blocking all incoming connections.

A few other things i shuld haveposted before. The site databae is insecure. I'm not a hacker but i have many friends who are and there are many parts of the site you leave completely open. Now i'm onyl friends with good hackers, but they havn't said what wrong with the site as they normally leave you a text file in the server entitled(problem area.txt). I can ask them again, but if your not worried about a little bit of hacking then dont worry. Might be an idea to secure the place up again, you never know, a hacker could have caused the original crash to begin with....

but yeah...

until next time,
Shane

P.S. if i donate to the server how about taking me off probation?

let's see what I recall about Shane: you are 17, you are worth ~90 grand, you want to be a store clerk when you grow up. You work in some clothing store. You also sell used cars. You don't really know anything about cars. You also have more certifications that anybody I know (I am software engineer) and you also work on servers when you are not at your other jobs. And you cannot have server at home because there is a firewall. This implies you don't know much about computers either.

Dude, you are hillarious.

Where are those dancing lock icons when you need about a dozen. LMAO

actually i do have all thise jobs and everything listed except... thew part where you infered i'm stupid.

I could use a server from my house, except, certain thins my firewall is made to blokc outt will limit how muhc my server can do. It has a hard time lettign epople download things, they can view a site, but whats worth it when you can host files too?

Everyport in this firewall is completely on lock down. I haveyet to figure out how 2wire, is able to communicate with our firewall. Bust be something other then tcp/ip, or ipx/spx....

and my certfacations are real. My MCSA however is out dated i got it back in 2001, i think it was, maybe 2002, and it was foor win2k, i now use server 2003 on my home computer and doual boot, with small business server 2003, a modified version of xp, that i can fix on a mini cd.... i'm not much into computer anymore, theres isn't as high of a demand for IT professionals as there were back in 2000, 01, 02, when i tried so hard to get all thi stuff. My school(yes high school) paid for all of it, classes and exams were all done on campus so...

but yeah, the server is a little more vulnerable then you might think guys.

plus the people who are saying i took the server down, why would i do it in the first place, this is pretty much my home when on my breaks and while i'm at home supposed to be sleeping? think about that... it was hard without TGO.
