Banned?

For the last few days, at random times, when I try to veiw a board, reply to a topic, edit a post, etc... I get a page saying that my IP Address has been banned from tgo. Other times it works without fail. Clearly I'm not banned, so I would like some help please.

Are you using dial-up or broadband?

And could you pin exactly when this began and other events surrounding it? (changing your ISP, changing what number you dial into if you use dialup, moving, etc)

Unfortunately yes i'm on dial up. I believe it began on monday. I havent changed my isp but a couple days ago my internet kept saying that the line is invalid or busy, even though the phone line wasnt busy and everything was connected. I restarted the computer and then the internet connected.

AOL dial-up? If so, one of the admins must have been trying to keep someone from causing trouble by applying an IP address or IP address wildcard ban. Unfortunately, especially for dial-up connections, this rarely works and can cause trouble for legit users (such as your case).

This isn't your fault and there is little you can do until an admin fixes this, other than signing off and back on to get another IP address.

Well, the weird thing is we haven't banned any AOL wildcards lately.
