I was trying to go back and find one of my post from WAY back. I can't do that right now as the search only seems to go back so far and only so limited post.

is there anyway around this? I find it a little limiting for us guys who have been around the block a time or two

I was able to search back to 2001. The results are limited to 1000 hits. Any further hits are discarded as 1000 hits is about 20 pages of results.

Narrow down your search and perhaps you will find it.

It has all been datalogged as far as I know, search deep inside your brain and remember your inital post, it will come up.

There is no question as to if the posts are stored and recorded, they are. With a 1000 hit limit per search, you can use the advanced search feature, narrow down the search by using some key words, set the date to search for 1 year and older posts, and change the show results as posts. That should get you started.
