Two new forum suggestions...

Ok, even though there seem to be about 100 different forums here, it seems like two obvious ones are missing, as compared to most of the other boards I belong to.

I think there should be an "Off Topic" forum, for non 3rd gen related topics, ie music, sports, 4x4's, whatever.

Also, a general questions board, for generic 3rd gen related questions that don't readily fall under any of the available boards. For example, I'm looking to pick up another 3rd gen in the next few months, and I'd like to post a question asking members what they would look for, and if they were to start over with a new 3rd gen, what would they want? I really have no idea what category to post that under right now. I think a "general" forum would be perfect for things like that.

Ok, that was just my .02.

That said, I have to say that this is a really great board. I've mostly been a Jeep guy since I sold my 'Birds, but I've been a lurker here on and off for the past few years. I'm very impressed with all the info to be found here and the great selection of forums to pick from.

This comes up a LOT. Here's a link to the sticky from the top of this board :

Ooops. Didn't notice that.

Ok, well how about the "general" board idea? Closest I found was "general engine".

Oh, and is it possible to delete one's own posts? I posted something in the wrong board a little while ago, but I couldn't seem to delete it.

Thanks.

Members cannot delete their own posts, and haven't been able to do so for a long time.

Instead, if you make a mistake, notify an Admin or Moderator and we'll take care of it.

JT, i hope i'm not steppin on your toes here. the whole purpose of these forums is for the discussion and advancment of 3rd gen's. when these boards were started, they were started with an agreement that they would only be used for technical and practical discussions on 3rd gens. there are plenty of other boards out there that allow people to discuss anything that comes to mind. that is what makes these boards so nice. you don't have to climb thru all of the garbage to get to the good stuff. the good stuff is always right there in front of you. the Mods do a great job of weeding out all the that doesnt need to be here to make these the best 3rd gen boards out there......

short form of my answer....... more info, less garbage = good boards

I have a question similair to this topic...I just purchased a 3rd Gen car and would like to post a topic showing it off and ask members to point out anything that doesn't look right or original about it. Would this be allowed and under which section?

Generally the History/Restoration forum is where originality subjects appear. However, to simply just show off the car, that is sort of what the vBGarage section is for.
