Ive been a member of this site since 2001 (changed username) and i have to say that TGO has been the most useful tool ive ever had in building my cars. hell if it werent for this site, i probably wouldnt have gotten the thirdgen addiction in the first place! How can i contribute something back to TGO?

 

You can help the forums and moderators by reporting any posts or threads that are in violation of TGO's rules. This feature is presented as a link in each post:

TGO does have a "TGO sponsor" level, if you contribute funds to the website. I cannot give you many specifics about that. In the past, it was used if you contributed funds to TGO, which went to upgrade the webserver. Now, with new owners, I'm unaware of specifics.

By the way, you should not have gotten a different registered date if you simply changed user names, unless you simply created another account, which is not the preferred (or even "allowed") method. Contacting an admin with a request to change a new user name normally works, as long as it's within reason.

 

so someone owns TGO? Its a buisness? Im not really very computer savvy i dont really know how websites work. How long has TGO been around anyway?

 

A business currently does own TGO. TGO was founded and created by a few individuals, one of them Dirk, who managed/owned TGO for several years up until TGO was sold to Xoxide (business) last year. TGO has been around for over a decade.
