To trade or not to trade?

Well, my friend really likes my GTA alot, it needs paint, tires, and all that, he said 'he'll give me $1,800, his 82 fire bird V6, and a 350. he said i can take off my WS6 parts(Springs, shocks, sway bars), and put them on his fire bird, it needs a trans, as well as the V8 installed, it has new hoosier quick time pros, a 3.73 in the back, and that is all I believe.

My dillemma is 'i know i can probably complete it' for that $1,800(Needs rings/pistons), and then i can get a decent holly DP carb with holly intake manifold, for about $500.00, be emissions exempt(what i'm reallly looking for), and still be street legal. What do you guys think? I know $1,800 can build a decent car. Suggestions?

I figured i'd get a Spohn tubular K-member, and something like a TCI streetfighter TH350, how much work would it be to re-wire it, I know that I would need a new radiator, and all that as well. I don't really plan on running AC or anything. Suggestions? My GTA is a good base, but I only paid $1,500 for it.
