What is the significance of the last acivity date : 12-31-1969 07:00 PM

Why do so many members have the exact same Last activity date/time ??

 

Here is a guess for you, at one point when the forum was upgraded or transfered the "Last Active Date" for a ton of members was lost, and thus got set to a default date. That date happens to be 12-31-1969 at 7PM.

 

6686 members actually. That date is standard if there isn't any value set into the database.

Remember this forum use to be UBB based. Posts and accounts were imported into vBulletin. I don't believe UBB used last activity dates.

Does that mean that these members have not logged into TGO since early in 2002 ???

 

Unless there was a database problem that I'm not aware of, more than likely the answer would be yes.

 

Its not really a problem when you consider that there are 68,677 total registered members.

 

True,........ To be honest I'm not sure I would call those 6686 people that have not logged in for the last 6 years "members"


There are also the 32,394 of the reported 68,686 on the member list that have never made a single post.

Or 43,600 of 68,686 that have not logged into the site in a year or more. Maybe a years isn't enough to disregard them,..... How bout 2 years - There's 31,900 that have not logged intoTGO even once the last 2 years. That's over 45% of the sites membership.

I was curious about that wierd date because I looked to see what my member number is. There are 880 "members" that signed up before me. Over 1/2 of those (480 to be exact ) have not even logged into TGO in the last 6 years - according to the "12-31-1969" Last Activity date.
