Tool Forum - perhaps part of the fabrication forum?
In a floor jack thread that I was reading today, somebody mentioned that there's no "tool" forum here. It dawned on me that on other sites, I spend a lot of time in their tool forum, and I tend to learn a lot. On some sites, they have a combined tool/fabrication forum. I wonder if a tool forum here, or a modification to the fabrication forum to include tools would be a good idea?
Re: Tool Forum - perhaps part of the fabrication forum?
Jim, I'm not sure if there's enough topic to warrant a seperate forum. We tend to only have forums where there is enough usage of the topic to warrant the separation so that we don't have too many forums and splits. Looking through the history, while a Tool forum had prior been suggested, it was only a few times and there didn't seem to be a lot of interest or agreement.
The conclusion was if there was a question about how to use them, that the General/Tech forum would be the best place for it while the Aftermarket forums would be used for Review of specific tools/companies.
If there is a tool to be fabricated to make a specific task easier on the ThirdGen, I'm sure it would fit right in the Fabrication forum.
