What's with the site chugging?

What's with the site chugging?
I've tried TGO over 5-6 different computers and sometimes the site just chugs horribly. I also get script errors occasionally from the ads I think, so I assume some of it is due in part to that.
Anyone else experiencing this? Normally TGO is lightning fast, but the past few weeks it's been kind of a wash.
