Is there any way to allow us the option not to have our signatures on by default when we post, like it used to be? It is a real pain to have to remember to uncheck the box each time I post in a thread after the first time, and adds to unnecessary thread length when lots of people forget. Other than that I like almost everything else you've done!

 

I coulda sworn there was a way but it looks like there isn't! If you have no SIG then that check box won't be set. But then you'd have to type in your sig each time which is stupid.

I'll look into turning if off by default or else getting it to be a selectable field. I agree, it shouldn't be on by default since it isn't needed in every post.

 

Alright, I modified a file and as of now, when you post a new topic and you have a sig, the box is checked by default, but when you go to reply, the box is NOT checked. I can modify it further to that it'll affect a NEW topic as well, but it makes more sense to have someone post their signature when they start a thread by default and then not having them respond w/ a sig later on.

So we'll see how this goes.

wait, so ur saying that if i post in a thread, i will have to click the sig box myself? cause i just posted, and i realized that yesturday i didn't have to check the box, and now i do. is there anyway u can make it an OPTION so it will post everytime?

When you start a new topic, the SHOW SIG button will be checked automatically. When you reply, it won't be.

There is no option to turn this on and off per user, unfortunately.

But it should hopefully keep people from responding in the same thread with their signature 4 or 5 times.
