Looking around, there doesn't appear to be a way you can tally how many people who are registered here have certain years/models of cars. I think that would be interesting if you can do that. Has anyone developed an application to search the registered users based on the 'car' field? Only other way would be a owner poll, but there would be so many who seldom sign in who wouldn't see it to complete it.

 

I have made the car field in member profiles searchable using the Advanced Search in the Memberlist.

But that field, and other profile fields, was not exactly intended to be searchable. Because they are text fields, and not pre-defined drop-down selections, you might have '92 or 1992 or 92 text in the car field. You might have Firebird, 'bird, or might have Fire Bird, etc., as well because people type and do things differently.

In short, it all depends on how the members used the field.
