2000 grand prix
I have a 2000 grand prix with the passkey 3 has a chip inside the plastic part of the key I just installed the new lock cylinder and i programed it and the security light is off now. But before I put the new ignition cylinder in and programed the keys I found that someone installed a aftermarket alarm system with the starter disable. I decided to take it out. I put the bigger starter wire back together that someone had to cut In two back together and now it turns over. But i found a big black and white striped wire and a smaller wire running out of the harness and was grounded to the body. I removed the wires from the ground. I checked them later or voltage cause I had forgot that they were grounded. The big black/white striped wire has a 5 volt current. And it was grounded? But the problem is even though the alarm is not blinking anymore cause I put in and programed a new cylinder lock and key the fuel injectors wont get a puls and it ran before I removed the alarm. I been stranded with no ride for over a week. Please someone help?
