So this happened yesterday! Both my dad and I took first place at GM Nationals in our classes! What a great Father's Day for us! Even took a three generation pic of my dad, my son and I!!! What a great weekend we had!

Just got the Car back from the detail shop. He did a Polish, Glaze and sealant!

Oh heeeeeeeeck no!!!! He's a third gen boy for sure! He will point out Camaros when he sees them on the road but when he sees a third gen he gets all excited and yells "DAD A THIRD GEN LOOOOOK" that's my boy! Brings a tear to my eye!

Last weekend at the Ice Cream Heaven cruise in, Harrisburg PA. I was shocked that I was one of three third gens there!

Every garage should have at least 2 thirdgens. Hopefully they will both be mine someday. Just don't tell my wife hah.



And finally my new parts from bigbrakeupgrade. I am so excited to get these on, I can barely contain myself.

The 69 camaro is a true RS, numbers matching 350/TH350 trans, Dad and i restored her 15 years ago now.

The 70 Chevelle is also Dads, we restored her 8 years ago. 402 bored .040" to 425, TH400 trans

Nice all 3 are beautiful.

 

Got the fronts on today. Gonna be a week or two for the rears. I have another rear that is disc already so its easier to just swap that in and add the brakes then modify the flanges on my drum rear end.

 

Holy crap what a difference!!!

 

Ya the braking is awesome too and I haven't done the rear yet.

Also, my 2014 Silverado is in the pic too, which is almost the same color as the IROC...that's why I bought it!

 

Sweet ride ride man!!! My granddaughters love to ride in my "HOT ROD" as they call it any chance they get. On thin that gets me, how did you get your fogs on without the headlights? Did CHEVY change that from 1985 to 1986?

Yeah I do believe that in 85 you couldn't have just the fog lights on. Not sure why...I know some of the early 85 IROCs had the switch in an odd place. Not sure why. But yeah I can pull the headlight switch halfway on to turn on the parking lights, and turn the fog lights on and off with just the parking lamps on.
