I just got the new Hawk's 17x9 wheels on it and I have not had a chance to take a lot of pics but I hope to get some better ones soon. Here are a few I have.

Finally able to post the finished project. Literally finished painting less than 24 hours ago. Very big thanks to Bubbajones_ya for painting basically the entire car. It was a solid weekend of prep and work and bs but we finally finished it. This thing looks amazing in person. I just want to pull up a chair and stare at it all day long. We got it finished with the last coat of clear last night then started raining so we had to scramble to get it in the garage. Had to 're clear it which got rid of most of the water spots but a lot of debris got on it now. It was perfect before. It's cloudy and rainy today and tomorrow so more pictures to come but this is what I have so far. I am unbelievably excited!

Re: POST YOUR BLUE CAMAROS AND FIREBIRDS
Although not my car, I thought I would post it because, it is a 1991 Blue convertible, There was only about 57 or so Blue Firebird or Trans Am Convertibles in 1991...
The only color more rare in 1991 for the convertibles was the Medium Gray Metallic, there was only about 36 of those.
Take your blue Trans Am to work today........weatherman was wrong!!! Now its drizzling!!!! ARRGGHH!
Absolutely beautiful!!!!! I hate weathermen/women....all you have to say is 50% this or that, and you are usually correct...hahaha
My IROC doesn't leave the garage with anything more than 10% chance of rain, and even then, I'm iffy...

I just got it done this summer, the color is laguna blue from the new vette.
The color looks even better on the Z! Great Job! My only complaint is to get those headlight buckets painted black. Z's look weird with body color buckets in my opinion.
Travis.... I hate weatherman/woman too. You are correct. Thing is it was a freak rain shower mist crap that came outta nowhere; just enough to mess the car up. I drove it again today and it is absolutely beautiful out............well so far!
Arnold your car is stunning! I haven't been here in a while but I can see you've been showing her off! Makes me miss my 87! At least I still have photos. I hear my old car my be for sale again.

Thank bud! Wow, he shouldn't have any problem selling your old IROC. If I remember correctly it's in a neighboring state. Has he put many miles on it?

I don't think he's driven it much. We are Facebook friends and he is a car fanatic. He's worse than you and me put together. I saw a post of his saying the IROC was going up for sale because he was drooling over something else. Like me he was disappointed with the lack of power in that 305. I don't know if its for sale for sure or not but I'm sure he would let her go if the price were right. Im not interested in buying it back because I have no room for it and I am dumping most of my car money into the corvette. If only I had bought the house with the 4 car garage. LOL!! If I did ever end up with another 3rd Gen camaro I would look for a yellow 85 Z28. I don't know why but I love the contrast between the yellow and the silver rocker panels.
I don't know about him selling it easily. 3rd Gens are not easy to get good money for. There are way too many low ballers and tire kickers that are into these cars. I almost took it off the market. I got tired of them. I have had 5 3rd Generation camaros. None were easy to sell.

Hey Mike, I posted a bigger picture for everyone to see better! That 87 sure is a looker!
Thanks! I never could figure out how to do that. The 87 was (or I should say is) a beautiful example. After I bought the corvette i never drove it anymore. Shifting the T5 was like rowing a boat compared to the TR6060.

Hahaha! No problem! I had a buddy with an 87 305TPI T5 in blue that he just sold too. Good looking car, too many mechanical issues though!

Well, now you need to lay out the other colors, esp yellow
Ok, it's officially my least favorite time of the year!
I totally get what you mean about least favorite season, I just flushed the coolant and wouldn't you know it, a few inches of snow this morning. Just curious as to your car cover, I still need to get one, but don't want a cheapy that will rub the finish of the paint, and it appears you really love and protect your stuff

The only issue mine had was the AC stopped blowing cold. I think the compressor was going. I don't think the guy who bought mine cared about that because he put a wicked sound system in it almost right away. I guess the ERS stock radio didn't cut it for him LOL!! I found a gas receipt under the back seat cushion of mine from 1987. The gas price was 97 cents a gallon! Good times!!

Mike, I was in college in '87, on a tight budget and can remember putting $5 in my '82 z28 with a 1/4 tank already in it. $5 would get me between 3/4 and full! I can recall gas reaching .63 cents per gallon in Texas during that time. Heck, no wonder I drove the wheels off if it!

I hate to say this bud, but I took mine out yesterday, had a blast and today looks like a repeat with sunny skies and temps in the 60's. This will be here first warm winter in 26 years. She spent the others in Pennsylvania and Washington. She's probably wondering when the hell I'm going to stop driving her and put her to bed, lol.
Enjoy when you can! If they would not have dropped salt already I would take mine out too, maybe for Thanksgiving, it will be upper 50's and I sure would be greatful.

Yeah, I'm afraid this cold snap and it's snow (and accompanying salt) have put an end to sneaking out until for pleasure drives until spring time.
How can you tell what number vert formula by vin? 1989
You really need to start a new thread for new questions and maybe do it(for this question) in the history or convertible sections. You'll get more answers
I have one of the 42-3 89 formula 350 cars myself.
PM OKFOZ on here, he has the info you seek.
What a great collection of cars. Here's mine from earlier this year. I've got a reprieve so far. KC has only got rain and no salt yet. Hope to get a week or two of driving before I put her away for winter. Sigh
