Top down solutions Wonder Bar

What a nice piece. I always had issues with my spohn unit fitting with the dual fans. With a test fit I gain enough room to get the fans on np. Spohn unit will be up for sale. This tds piece uses an extra bolt already on the frame rail. Recomended.

I agree. Had mine on my GTA for several years. I have passed up on some great deals on other brands and instead insist on the TDS piece for my T/A.

Re: Top down solutions Wonder Bar

One of the best things I've done for my formula was the TDS bar. Third bolt made all the difference on installation, too.

Re: Top down solutions Wonder Bar

Its a well made piece. Cant beat price and your supporting a vendor here. Get his greasable sway bar bushing kit too because it has to come off anyway. Gotta keep these vendors in buisness if they are supporting our hobby.

I run a UMI wonderbar but like how the TDS unit bolts to the frame of the car.

I've had mine for going on 10 years now and I really like it. My only complaint is that the paint is flaking badly and it's starting to rust.

Got it installed today, fit tight as a glove and install was a breeze. Thanks for the sticker Lon, I was the weirdo asking for a spare!

Not a weirdo, and not the first to ask for a sticker. But as you see I don't have stickers (yet), just the same decal I put on my TDS products.

Dangit. I just received the wonderbar for my T/A and remembered that I forgot to ask for a couple stickers when I ordered it. What a goober.

Re: Top down solutions Wonder Bar

Are these any different than the ones that come with the Irocs? I ask because I have a wonderbar from an Iroc that I was planning on installing in my Firebird. If these are better I might consider TDS.

Re: Top down solutions Wonder Bar

Yes. Compare.

TDS steering brace (aka WonderBar): Exclusive 3 mount bolts used per side (only brace that actually bolts to the front subframe, all others bolt to a bracket that is bolted to the frame) 1" center tubing, powder-coated or zinc plated.

GM wonderbar: 2 mount bolts per side. .75" center tube.

More info on my website under "Chassis and Suspension" category.

Re: Top down solutions Wonder Bar

Never seen this brand before. I have a spohn unit on my car. I have no problems with it besides for how I cannot get the passengers side poly bushing to close fully. Don't think it has to do with the bar but still frustrating. Anyone know of that's like really bad that it's not fully closed? Has like a 5mm gap.

I like the TDS products.
Really nice bar but this one's not too shabby either.

Most likely the reason you can't get the poly bushing to close is that it is 35mm, not 36mm. Your profile lists that your Firebird has the WS6 suspension which has 36mm front sway bar and 24mm rear sway bar. I sell 36mm poly bushings.

I did awhile ago. It was like 35.??? Almost 36. Called spohn and they said that they hone them out to be 36.
