Saw a grey later body RS going south on the 5 FWY, exiting in the Buena Park/La Mirada area. It had what looked to be like 19s or 20s with fat round center caps. What really caught my attention was the LED tail lamp conversion. I have not seen that car around before. Anyways, very nice.

This afternoon I was heading north on the 14 toward Palmdale and heading south was a very dark Camaro with bright yellow heritage-style stripes. The yellow stripes are probably fairly unique, so if the owner is a member of this website, then somebody in SoCal probably knows who it was.
I saw a white iroc convertible with blacker out tail lights while today in Wilmington... he was on Avalon and pch... he turned on pch to head to long beach... clean looking car.... not sure if he/ she saw me I was driving my car today
thats funny bc thats my friends car, do you live in wilmington?
I've see two clean Iroc's almost every day
Monday - Friday park on San Fernando road between tuxford and penrose
the other one must belong to a taco bell employee on glenoaks in SF
Nice everyday commuters
Looks like the posting of spotted 3rdgens has been slow for about a year, so I'm reviving this with a somewhat unusual spotting that occurred over the weekend.
I've been shopping for a new 2015 truck for awhile now, and last week I found the exact truck I've been hoping to find, but it was at a dealer near Tampa, FL. I figured, WTH, I'll make a road trip out of it, so I made the deal and flew to Tampa.
I picked-up my truck Thursday and hit the road around noon. Drove to Indy to surprise my parents, arriving at 5am Friday. Left Indy about noon on Saturday and headed for LA via I-70 to I-15.
Then Sunday afternoon(yesterday), after I stopped for fuel in Salina, UT, I returned to I-70 West, traveling up the on-ramp behind a black IROC(w/blue stripe) with CA plates.
So if there's a TGO member from CA with a black IROC who was driving through Utah Sunday... you were spotted.

It can get extremely windy up there in the desert, and it looks like the wind has taken its toll on the convertible top. Hopefully, it just popped off of its mount and hasn't been damaged, but I'd suspect it's trashed at this point.
Anybody know who has a black Formula or green Trans Am convertible in Camarillo? I saw the vert leaving the Ralph's parking lot on Ponderosa late last summer but couldn't get turned around in time to catch up to it. Then today, I saw a black Formula in the parking lot at Rolling Pin on Las Posas.
Bringing this thread back from the dead. I think its kind of fun to share thirdgen sightings. Yesterday I saw three thirdgens in Camarillo when I was driving my '92 T/A.
The first was a black '86 Trans Am on Lewis at the stoplight. I was going straight, and he was turning on Ventura Blvd heading into Oldtown Camarillo. We waved at each other before he turned.
The second was a red '90 Camaro near the Chevron on Las Posas and Daily Dr. It was an older guy in it. We spoke for a few minutes. I told him to get on TGO because he had never heard of this site.
The third was another Camaro. It was heading the opposite direction on Las Posas as I was going over the 101. The front bumper was a replacement that was in dire need of a repaint.

This appears to be an IROC. I pass it weekly, but only recently thought of taking a pic. It's in Boron, Hwy 58, north side of the road, about 3 miles west of Kramer Junction(intersection of the 58 and the 395). Good luck with the phone number; it looks like 661-492-9504?
I held-up my phone while driving-by at 55 mph and clicked the pic. I had no idea that I'd hit the target until I opened the pic. Very lucky shot!
Saw a '91-92 red Firebird on Daily drive in Camarillo on Sunday as it was crossing Arniel. Then a few minutes later I saw a very clean looking Camaro convertible sitting in the Taco Bell parking lot with the top down.
I have seen a few more thirdgens in the last few weeks. Seems like I've seen a lot more lately than I had in the last couple of years. I saw a black Camaro twice on Moorpark road in Thousand Oaks last week. Also saw a red Camaro convertible at the intersection of Westlake Blvd and Thousand Oaks Blvd with a blonde lady driving it. Then I saw the car in the photo below on Pierce Arrow crossing Thousand Oaks Blvd last weekend. This one, I was actually able to get a photo.

When I passed-by last weekend, everything in the pic was gone, EXCEPT the IROC; it was still there, sitting in the field all by itself, but for how much longer, I don't know. So if anyone is interested in a late-generation IROC "fixer," then you might call about this one soon.
And there is this one, first posted in this thread over 4 years ago...
It still sits right where it was, deteriorating. I'm hesitant to state its specific location because it's on private property, but it's in desperate need of rescuing before it's too late, so...
It's in Rosamond(10 minutes north of Lancaster), on Gaskell Road(between Avenue A and Rosamond Blvd), just east of 90th Street West(Tehachapi-Willow Springs Road). The car even shows up in the satellite view of the area, and those are rarely up-to-date.
My old "now pile of crap" the ex took 10 years ago - it sat and rotted for 9 years then materialized on PCH in Long Beach about a year ago. I've had several calls from people telling me they've seen it and I say "Yeah, I know all about it"

In the parking garage at work yesterday, there was a Maroon Camaro SC convertible. Engine code was S, so if the Maroon color was original, then it would be an 85. It looked like an ASC conversion.
I spotted a grey '91 or '92 Firebird two days ago. It was crossing through the Taco Bell parking lot near Adolfo & Lewis in Camarillo. Drove by too quick for me to snap a pic. Seems like there are a fair amount of thirdgens in the Camarillo area over the last year or so.
I have seen this car in passing a few times. Here it is at a car show in Camarillo in late August. Didn't see the owner around anywhere. At least nobody acted like they were the owner when I was poking around it.
