1983 V8 Z-bar ball that threads into block

Doing a V8 swap in my 83 and it appears the V6 one is too long.

Need the V8 one.

It is a 1964 to 1980something part. Check w/ your dealer.

Cool, hope the rest of the linkage is the same from the V6 haha. Wish me luck!

Re: 1983 V8 Z-bar ball that threads into block

Ok... still lost.

This is what I THINK I need, but it says till 1981 for this style:http://www.ebay.com/itm/331473166595

(Picture attached) is what comes up for a 1983 Camaro/Firebird V8... which looks NOTHING like what I need and I don't even know where it'd thread in.

As you can see in my pic in the first post, I need something to replace what I took off the V6. It'd look the same, just shorter to compensate for the wider block.

So does anyone have a 1983 Camaro or Firebird V8 T5 car that could post a pic of what's sticking out of their block??

Re: 1983 V8 Z-bar ball that threads into block

Ok, I feel dumb. Though I'm still not 100% sure on which one to order, I see that the ones for sale on the auto parts site are for the BELLHOUSING, not the block. That's why they look so different.
